Gay theatre

Chapinero is also the center of Bogotá's gay community. [4][5] There are more than bars, discos and clubs that cater to the gay community in Bogotá, many of which can be found in Chapinero. The biggest and most popular gay disco in Bogotá, [6] Theatron, is located in the heart of Chapinero.

As the crisis and the closet fell off, the theater stayed at the vanguard of gay issues by putting subjects like workplace discrimination, military service and marriage equality onstage.
